Glenrowan is a small historic High Country town 236 n-e of Melbourne. It is also renowed as the place where Australia’s most famous bushranger, Ned Kelly made his last stand against the Victorian police in 1880. Originally inhabited by the Pallanganmiddang Aborigines, white settlement began in 1840s as a pastoral & agricultural service town. Glenrowan features a Kelly Statue, Ned Kelly Musuem and Cobb & Co Museum. Several wineries surround the town and Warby Range State Park is nearby.
